I am so thrilled to share that The Call of Living Water won a Christlit award this week! It is such an honor to be able to display that my book aligns with the mission of Christlit Book Award. And what is their mission?

…the Christlit Book Award program is dedicated to acknowledging and honoring remarkable authors who skillfully integrate themes of faith into their literary creations.

Art always reflects our inspiration. Our inspiration can be life, grief, family, beauty or loss; but for me, I want everything I create to point back to the most important person and influence in my life – Jesus.

Matthew 5:16 says, “…let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father” (NLT). I want my good deeds – the fruits of my hands and labors – to lead others to praise my heavenly Father. He’s worth it all.

So that’s why I applied for a Christlit Book Award. I want you to know that my stories are dedicated to Jesus. They’re emotional, sometimes heavy and full of difficult decisions, however they all point to the victory and redemption we have through Christ.

The Call of Living Water is launching Saturday, August 23rd into online stores everywhere. If you’re looking for a story that points your heart to Jesus, while entertaining you and keeping you on the edge of your seat – I hope you’ll add it to your TBR!
